Monetization
This platform wasn't built for profit, it was built for people. But to survive, evolve, and support its users, monetization is necessary.
What follows is the current plan (subject to change as reality demands.) Every decision will prioritize users first, and growth second.
🟣 P1 — Early Access
- Flat-rate pricing for early tool versions
- Separate license for major versions (archival rights preserved)
- Proceeds fund further dev + infra
- Feedback loop opens for assessing outside collaboration needs
🔵 P2 — Collaboration Tiering
- Introduction of networking features = server costs
- Solo development: flat-rate license
- Collaborative use: low subscription tier
- Possible crowdfunding or micro-investment round if needed
🟢 P3 — First Commercial Release
- Core foundations shipped
- Subscriptions replace flat rates (to reflect continuous service cost)
- Scaling cloud sync + shared environments
- Platform-features justify long-term engagement
🟠 P4 — Platform Evolution
- Optional platform-based hiring/portfolio visibility
- Success-based platform fees (not upfront commissions)
- Tiered access for teams, freelancers, and studios
🔴 P5 — Cloud-Native Development
- Cloud-based rendering + editing becomes default
- Free-tier available for small projects
- Subscription options scale with usage
- Platform fees only for completed, successful job connects
⚫ P6 — Marketplace + Publishing
- In-house asset store
- Revenue share only on significant commercial success
- Platform publishing ecosystem begins rollout
⚪ P7 — Giveback Phase
- No platform fees for publishing
- Only subscriptions + optional platform perks remain
Goal become the foundation for devs who just want to create without red tape
Note: All stages are fluid. If support drops or funding doesn’t arrive, these plans will bend to sustain life. But every pivot will be made with users in mind, and not behind closed doors.
